A Brief Overview

Responsible for managing operations of the Radiology department. Works closely with off-site radiologist and physicians. The Manager will assist leadership with developing objectives, policies and procedures and standards of performance.

What you will do
  • Plans, implements, and continually evaluates the overall services of the department. Ensures the provision of cost-effective, high-quality radiology services are provided.
  • Provides for the analysis, collection, and maintenance of records as needed by Quality Assurance, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines or as may be required by law.
  • Assists in preparing the departmental annual budget. Assists with appropriate action to ensure that budgeted objectives are achieved and that cost, and expense objectives are met.
  • Consults with leadership in solving operational problems and design methods and procedures to improve the efficiency, productivity, and control of these operations. Identifies and recommends changes in departmental policies, plans or programs as they affect the morale, attitude, and retention of employees.
  • Performs quality control testing and completes quality assurance reports on radiology equipment.
  • Conduct and coordinate on-the-job staff/student training and orientation.
  • Participates in staff assignments as needed to maintain efficiency within the department. Coordinates scheduling process and maintains appropriate staffing levels to maximize department efficiency.
  • Assists with applications or implementation of computer.
  • Develops in-service information and presents the information to staff as necessary with the changing technology or procedures.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's completion of Bachelor's within 5 years of hire

  • Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Upon Hire
  • Leadership/management
