Full Job Description
Indiana University Health Medical Group in partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a radiologist for our Community Division in Bloomington, Indiana. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to combine high-quality community-based imaging services with the resources, collaboration, and academic mission of one of the nation's largest medical schools and Indiana's premier healthcare system. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic radiology services while contributing to clinical excellence, multidisciplinary care, and the educational mission of IU Health and the IU School of Medicine.

Position Summary

The Department of Radiology hosts robust fellowship and residency training programs, and the candidate will have occasional opportunities to work effectively with and prove teaching for radiology residents and neuroradiology fellows.

Job Duties
  • Provide high-quality interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies, including:
    • General Radiography
    • CT
    • MRI
    • Ultrasound
    • Mammography (if trained / certified)
    • Nuclear Medicine (if trained / certified)
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports that support exceptional patient care.
  • Consult with referring physicians regarding imaging findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental initiatives.

Healthcare System/Hospital Description

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.

At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
