  • Perform independent technical assessments and trade studies
  • Review algorithms and results from external teams for validation
  • Prepare and present actionable technical briefings

Full Job Description
Position Title: Radar Signals Engineer
Position Type: Full-time, On-site
Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly
Waypoints client is seeking a Radar Signals Engineer.Those qualified will possess the following:
Job Functions:
  • Work with our modeling and simulation team to conduct a wide variety of analyses involving radars tracking satellites in all types of Earth orbits
  • Satellite-tracking radar signal designs and signal processing algorithms
  • Radar antenna design
  • Performance analyses of satellite target detection, acquisition, tracking and characterization
  • Optional: Radar return modeling using 3D satellite models
  • Work with experts in astrodynamics, optical sensing, AI, and High Performance Computing
  • Use programming languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, or others to leverage existing analysis tools and develop new ones
  • Conduct independent trade studies and technical assessments
  • Review and validate algorithms and results provided by external teams
  • Develop and optionally present actionable technical briefings
