Full Job Description
As a Trex R&D Engineer, you'll be responsible for the improvement, design and development of new and existing products, formulations, and equipment. As a member of our Research and Development team, you'll be developing resources and vendors capable of meeting the company's needs.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Design, develop, and improve Trex products, processes, and raw materials.
- Generate project ideas to improve Trex costs, profitability, market share, and product offering.
- Conduct safe execution of pilot and plant trials and tests.
- Develop required operating parameters for material and equipment.
- Understand raw material and product testing techniques, data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Develop all required product, process, and raw material documentation.
- Communicate and consult with outside technical resources.
- Communicate project status across the organization.
- Promote a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.

**EXPERIENCE**
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 0 to 5 years of experience in thermoplastic processing, chemical manufacturing, or mechanical maintenance.

- Experience in manufacturing or research experience in polymerization processes or product design.

- Experience in 6 Sigma a plus.
- Product or process design experience utilizing SolidWorks 3D CAD, demonstrated hands on mechanical aptitude
**SALARY**
Base Salary Range: $71,000 - $100,000 annually.
The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
