Full Job Description
Your Role:

AQR Capital Management is looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join our Quantitative Research team focused on Prediction Markets. This team will focus on building quantitative models to trade around professional sports.
  • Conduct rigorous statistical and economic research using alternative and traditional data sources to develop new alpha signals
  • Assist in the end-to-end research process in close collaboration with the supervising Portfolio Manager, including data ingestion and processing, exploratory analysis, methodology selection, implementation and testing, prototyping, and performance evaluation
  • Enhance and extend AQR's proprietary research platform to support and implement new research ideas

What You'll Bring:
  • B.S. degree or advanced degree from a top institution in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, operations research or another quantitative discipline.
  • Internship or academic experience working in a data driven research environment with a focus on model development and forecasting
  • Strong coding and data analytics skills
  • Experience in finance, especially with systematic macro strategies preferred
  • Awareness or experience in trading prediction markets is a plus
  • Familiarity with the basic rules of major sports (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL + more) and associated analytics, experience working in sports data professionally is a plus

he salary range for this role is expected to be $200,000 to $230,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs. This wage range may also be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
