Full Job Description
As a Quant Analytics Associate at JPMorganChase within the Payments Analytics team in Data and Analytics, you will help design and build transaction tagging capabilities across Chase banking payments products. You will translate business needs into tagging frameworks, define metrics, source data, develop queries, and create reporting that supports descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
Job responsibilities
• Design and refine transaction tagging logic to classify and enrich payments transaction data
• Partner with Payments Product Owners to translate business needs into tagging frameworks and rules
• Define metrics and measurement approaches to support customer engagement and product outcomes
• Source, transform, and validate data used in tagging and analytics workflows
• Develop and maintain queries and reporting to monitor tagging performance and coverage
• Create clear analyses and presentations for stakeholder updates, including larger group settings
• Drive alignment across stakeholders on how tagging should be applied and used across products
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative discipline
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong quality standards in analytics deliverables
• Strong communication skills, including presenting to larger groups
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• 2+ years of applied experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) and data visualization (for example, Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, SAS, R, or Python)
• Strong SQL skills, with Snowflake as the primary data environment
• Experience developing agentic workflows (for example, automated multi-step analysis or decision workflows)

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritize effectively
• Track record of driving projects to completion and delivering outcomes
• Stakeholder management skills and focus on building long-lasting working relationships
• Interest and/or experience in the payments or banking industry
