We have an opportunity for a Quality Supervisor to join our Ashland OH team. You will provide day-to-day leadership for the Quality Department and provide quality excellence throughout the site's operations. This role is responsible for supervising Quality Technicians, supporting the Quality Management System, leading problem-solving activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance. The Quality Supervisor works closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, resolve quality issues, and promote a culture of accountability, proactive problem solving, and continuous improvement.
You will:- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Quality Technicians.
- Foster a positive, accountable culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain training programs for quality personnel and production employees.
- Support employee development through coaching and skills development plans.
- Represent Quality in Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) meetings and other operational reviews.
- Support compliance with ISO requirements and site quality management system standards.
- Ensure effective control and maintenance of documented information, procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
- Conduct and participate in internal quality audits and support external audits as required.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor adherence to customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Lead investigations related to internal defects, customer complaints, supplier quality concerns, and process non-conformances.
- Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies including Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, 8D, and PDCA.
- Facilitate corrective and preventive action activities to eliminate recurring issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
- Escalate systemic quality concerns and drive sustainable corrective actions.
- Monitor quality performance throughout operations.
- Support containment activities and disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Ensure inspection plans, testing procedures, and quality controls are effectively implemented.
- Assist with new product launches, engineering changes, and process validation activities.
- Participate in supplier quality improvement efforts and corrective action follow-up.
Key Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
- 1+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
- Experience with quality systems, audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality data analysis.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, APQP, or PPAP methodologies.
- ASQ certification (CQI, CQT, CQE, or similar).
Compensation:For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
