Full Job Description
Winpak Films is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team based out of Senoia, GA.

The Quality Manager will play a key leadership role in driving product quality, food safety, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for leading the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements, while fostering a culture focused on quality excellence and zero defects.

This is a hands-on leadership role with strong presence on the manufacturing floor. The Quality Manager will partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, R&D, and Commercial teams to solve complex challenges, improve process performance, reduce variation, and enhance customer satisfaction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Systems, Compliance & Food Safety

  • Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, SQF/BRCGS, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the site SQF Practitioner and oversee HACCP, GMPs, allergen controls, traceability, recall readiness, and applicable certification programs.
  • Lead internal, customer, and certification audits, management reviews, document control, and change management processes.
  • Maintain certification readiness and ensure procedures, specifications, and work instructions remain current and effective.


Manufacturing Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive quality performance and process improvement initiatives across extrusion, printing, slitting, and converting operations to reduce variation, scrap, and defects.
  • Lead structured problem-solving and corrective action activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, CAPA, A3, SPC, Lean Six Sigma, and FMEA.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, R&D, Sales, and Commercial teams to improve uptime, yield, customer satisfaction, and overall product quality.
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, risk assessments, and business continuity planning initiatives.


Leadership, Customer Quality & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the site quality strategy aligned with business objectives related to safety, quality, service, and cost.
  • Establish, monitor, and drive performance against key quality metrics including customer complaints, audit performance, scrap, defects, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Lead, coach, and develop Quality Engineers, QA Technicians, and Quality Control personnel while building strong technical and problem-solving capability across the team.
  • Own the customer complaint and escalation process, including investigations, corrective actions, customer communication, and initiatives to improve customer perception and satisfaction.


Required Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, Packaging, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, including experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and maintaining ISO 9001 quality systems, with working knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, or related food safety and regulatory standards.
  • 3+ years of experience leading root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, CAPA, Lean Six Sigma, or FMEA.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within flexible packaging, plastics, extrusion, printing, converting, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience implementing or transforming quality systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ CMQ/OE, HACCP, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Experience within highly regulated or quality-intensive industries such as automotive, food packaging, or medical manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical, customer-facing, and change management capabilities, with experience using SPC and data-driven decision-making to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction.


Additional Details:

  • This position is for day shift, with occasional overtime, and weekend support.
  • This position is 100% onsite
