Full Job Description
A Day in the Life

The Quality Manager serves as the operational owner of Onterris Quality Management System (QMS) and operational governance framework. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role ensures that the company's operating system is effectively implemented, maintained, measured, and continuously improved.

The compensation range for this role is $80-100k/yr. Commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer the company Quality Management System (QMS), including enterprise standards for SOPs, forms, checklists, and documentation practices
  • Ensure all critical processes have current, approved SOPs; manage document control, revisions, approvals, and coordinate periodic reviews with SMEs
  • Develop and oversee enterprise audit programs (field, office, documentation, and report quality) across service lines; track findings and drive corrective action closure
  • Administer the CAPA process and analyze audit/quality trends to identify systemic improvements
  • Translate regulatory requirements (EPA, Method 21, OOOOb, Subpart W, Appendix K, state, and client-specific) into operational processes and controls
  • Manage risk registers/assessments, partner on training compliance, develop quality/compliance KPIs and executive reports, and support acquisition/expansion integration

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Quality Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management, compliance, operational excellence, auditing, or related operational leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience building or administering Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience developing and managing audit programs, compliance programs, or operational governance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of document control, SOP governance, corrective action management, and continuous improvement principles
  • Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA processes, and performance measurement systems
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and operational standards preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO-based management systems, auditing methodologies, or similar quality frameworks preferred


Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk and/or stand while handling/carrying various technical equipment
  • Comfortable occasionally working at heights in a safe manner
  • Ability to lift up to 20-30lbs unassisted
  • Comfortable working outside in all-weather elements
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Willingness to travel
