A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Quality Manager is accountable for enforcing consistent, high-quality execution of the Blattner's Quality Program on utility-scale energy construction projects. Travels to project sites to assess installation workmanship, verifies program compliance, and provides direct, hands-on Quality coaching to project site leaders.
The role will partner closely with General Superintendents to hold projects accountable to established quality standards, drives measurable improvement in quality results, and builds the capability of site leadership to ensure quality outcomes. This role serves as a visible, field-based extension of the Quality organization and a trusted advisor to project teams.
STEP INTO THE ROLE
- Enforces consistent, high-quality execution of the Company’s Quality Program across all assigned construction sites, ensuring work installation aligns with contract requirements, design specifications, company standards, and applicable codes.
- Conducts regular site visits, quality audits, and inspections to verify compliance with Standard Work Instructions, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control procedures, and project specifications.
- Applies knowledge of installation methods to verify that workmanship reflects proper installation technique and validate a commitment to quality.
- Escalates unresolved or recurring quality issues to project and Quality leadership as needed.
- Monitors Quality performance and KPIs, identifying negative trends and driving proactive intervention across assigned projects.
- Leads or supports structured root cause analysis for nonconformities and ensures effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented and verified.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Must be able to travel 75% with the expectation of working remotely about 1 week per month.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quality management, or related degree; or equivalent combination of related education and experience required.
- 8 or more years of leadership experience in utility-scale energy construction.
- Experience demonstrating a proven, personal commitment to quality execution in the field, gained through direct supervision of work installation.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
- Coursework or certifications related to solar energy systems or renewable energy construction is preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in quality program execution required.
- Experience with Procore.
- Exposure to innovative quality-inspection technologies.

$110,617.00 - $160,396.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
