Job Description

As a member of the Quality team, you will work closely with Production, Planning, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure product quality and process compliance. You will also collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, and the Project Core Team in Montreal to support project execution, resolve quality-related issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for driving Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs) to closure and ensure that aging NCMRs are reviewed and closed in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for preparing weekly NCMR presentation slides using data extracted from Reliance for the Quality Manger.

In addition, you may be required to support other Quality Assurance activities, including:
  • Performing final inspections of completed products, such as door panels, operators, and peripheral equipment.
  • Conducting incoming inspections of purchased components and subassemblies used in door systems.
  • Assisting with departmental quality initiatives and continuous improvement activities as needed.

This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to maintain product quality and support operational objectives.

What will your typical day look like?
  • Drive culture of quality and process discipline.
  • Analyze non-conformity issues and provide a disposition of parts, follow up in the quality system until completion of disposition.
  • Lead containment activities to minimize customer impact.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective action to prevent recurrence in production line.
  • Lead activities to ensure execution to quality metrics within assigned area.
  • Establish and execute quality plan for compliance with international quality standards (ISO-9001, AAR, IRIS, and etc).
  • Establish quality control plans to drive proactive quality improvements in area of responsibility.
