Full Job Description
Your Role:

The Quality Engineer will drive quality excellence through statistical process control and data analytics, ensuring world-class outcomes for materials delivered to major semiconductor customers globally. In this role, you will apply statistical methods and process data - from SPC reviews to multivariate analysis - to identify variation, uncover root causes, and guide cross-functional teams toward data-driven corrective and preventive actions. As the voice of the customer, you will partner with the Site Quality Manager to advance quality performance, leveraging automation and data digitization initiatives to accelerate decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own statistical process control (SPC) across Hometown operations - build, review, and refine SPC systems to detect variation early, drive root-cause analysis, and guide data-backed corrective and preventative actions
  • Apply statistical methods (t-tests, ANOVA, single and multivariate modeling) to analyze process data, identify variation sources, and translate findings into actionable quality improvements
  • Lead cross-functional teams in resolving issues using data-driven root cause investigations and CAPA implementation
  • Design and enable automation and data digitization initiatives that accelerate decision-making and improve visibility into process variables and emerging issues
  • Serve as a key voting member for material disposition decisions, using statistical and process data to identify systemic gaps and implement controls that reduce variation
  • Act as the voice of the customer to the site, ensuring quality metrics and process data reflect customer requirements
  • Lead and support audits of site processing and quality systems, incorporating statistical evidence of process control
  • Contribute to global quality initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, and other data-driven process optimization projects
  • Lead teams in the execution and quality of all EMD materials delivered to major semiconductor customers globally
