Responsibilities:
Develop partnerships with senior managers, IPTs, customers, and quality functions of the program team to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies
Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
Generation of new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency
Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA)
Facilitate the completion of internal and customer required First Article Inspection (FAI) Reviews
Participation and preparation for customer, third party regulatory and internal audits
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience.
Must have some type of aerospace or DoD experience or something regulated
Must have first article inspection
Working experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
Working experience leading teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.
Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
Six Sigma, Lean, and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications
Experienced team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
Experience presenting, reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Board.
Experience exercising judgement and apply resolution-making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention.
Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
Experience translating system requirements and contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.
Experience applying people skills and working with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.
Experience in First Article Inspections per AS9102.
Experience in one or all of the following is highly desired: Six Sigma, Process Certification, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Product Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Experienced in 8D, quality tools, 5 Whys of Root Cause Analysis, and SPC analysis
Ability to lead a cross-functional team and provide forecasting to reach established goals
Ability to assimilate, analyze, and present data to leaders, customers, and peers
Experiencing interfacing with internal and external customers as well as all levels of personnel
