Overview

SUMMARY:

The Quality Control / Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for overseeing all QC/QA activities in support of operations and maintenance (O&M) functions across a large, complex facility environment. (Mechanical or Custodial/Landscape) This role ensures compliance with contract requirements, industry standards, and internal quality processes. The QC/QA Lead will establish, implement, and manage a comprehensive QC/QA program that supports mission readiness and operational excellence..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the development, implementation, and management of the QC/QA program for O&M operations.• Prepare and maintain a detailed method statement outlining how the QC/QA Department will be structured, staffed, and managed.• Conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations of building systems, maintenance activities, and operational processes.• Ensure compliance with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and apply non destructive testing (NDT) methods as required.• Identify deficiencies, track corrective actions, and verify resolution.• Collaborate with site leadership, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure quality standards are met.• Maintain documentation, reports, and quality records in accordance with contract and regulatory requirements.• Provide training and guidance to staff on QC/QA procedures and best practices.• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reliability.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

• Active Secret Clearance• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience working in QC/QA roles within major industrial complexes or large scale construction projects.• Minimum of five (5) years serving specifically as a QC/QA Lead.• Strong working knowledge of O&M operations and building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.).• Experience working within a RCM program.• Familiarity with non destructive testing (NDT) methods.• Ability to develop and implement QC/QA processes, procedures, and documentation.• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Must be able be able to conduct preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs from ladders or elevated platforms. • Work requires the incumbent to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in uncomfortable positions. • Ability to lift, carry and set up tools, equipment and parts that weigh up to and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds. • Must be comfortable getting dirty, dusty, and greasy in an indoor or outdoor environment with frequent exposure to excessive noise. • Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).• Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays.• Must be able to perform on-call duties when scheduled and report to work within one hour of notification.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

 

Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
