.What You Will DoIn this role, you'll conduct detailed inspections using NDE methods such as leak testing and liquid penetrant testing, interpreting results and applying acceptance criteria from drawings and work orders. You will perform welding inspections to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, evaluate weld quality, monitor welding and brazing processes, and confirm welder qualifications. You'll also ensure that all NDE and welding systems, processes, and documentation align with industry and internal requirements while helping drive continuous improvement. Additionally, you will review engineering drawings, specifications, and codes to validate product conformity and maintain accurate records for fabrication, inspection, and final reporting. This role includes managing nonconformance documentation, supporting internal process audits, and collaborating with engineers and managers to communicate inspection results. You'll also provide training on inspection techniques, maintain an organized and safe work area, and support other quality-related activities as needed.
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:- High School diploma or equivalent
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- ASNT TC-1A Level II certification in liquid penetrant (PT) and leak testing (LT)
- Documented training and experience in NDE methods
- At least three years of experience in NDE, quality, or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and best practices
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with mechanical drawings, technical writing, and report creation
- Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills
- Must possess or be able to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance
A Successful Candidate Will Also Have:- ASNT Level II or III certification in PT and LT
- Experience in a regulated industry (nuclear, aerospace, medical devices)
- Experience with dimensional inspection
PayEstimated Starting Base Salary Range: $64,248 - $107,080. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
