Expected Salary range for this position is $140,000- $180,000 depending upon experience.
Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a
Quality Control Engineer to join our Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI.
DESCRIPTION:As a
Quality Control Engineer at Tutor Perini Corp., reporting to the
Project Manager, you will have the responsibility for quality control inspections and testing for your assigned discipline; Concrete, piling, rebar, structural, earthwork, electrical, etc.
- Inspect to contract specifications the assigned discipline
- Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work
- Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work
- Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents
- Preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
- Coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
- Participate in internal/external quality control audits
- Assist in reviewing purchase documents to ensure compliance with quality control requirements
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar
- 5 or more years of experience in support of design-build or heavy civil construction testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projects
- 5 or more years of quality control, inspection experience one or more of the project disciplines, to include Concrete, piling, rebar, structural, earthwork, electrical, etc.
- Strong understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance
- Experience with Microsoft Office (preferred)
- ACI or other industry related certifications (preferred)
