Your role

  • Prepare Project specific QA Plan meeting the governing QA program, the contract requirements, and the applicable standards.
  • Review Project management/engineering documents to ensure QA requirements are adequately identified and applicable procedures are followed.
  • Participate in requisition review to ensure QA requirements are adequately specified.
  • Define and document new processes when required and contribute to process improvement when process gaps in existing procedures are identified.
  • Conduct audits, self-assessments and root cause analysis.
  • Support Non-Conformance and Corrective Action process.
  • Maintain regular reporting on quality performance.
  • Provide coaching in procedural adherence and other QA matters.
  • Liaise effectively with groups within Candu.
  • Plan and schedule own work with minimum supervision.


About you

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and maintenance of quality management systems.
  • Experience in conducting nuclear-related audits and performing root cause analysis is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of QA standards applicable to design, procurement, and construction for nuclear power plants such as: CSA N286-12; CSA N285.0, CSA N286.7, ASME Section III, NCA 4000; ISO 9001: 2015; CSA N299 series of standards.
  • Advanced computing skills with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • General knowledge of CANDU plant design.
  • Self-motivated with strong team participation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
