Job Description
IERUS is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality, Safety, and Mission Assurance (QSMA) Analyst to lead compliance efforts in support of government contracts, specifically adhering to AS9100D and applicable MDA quality and safety standards. This position is responsible for implementing a robust QSMA program across all program phases, including quality assurance, safety, configuration control, and mission readiness support. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in defense/aerospace environments and demonstrated leadership in quality systems, safety programs, and regulatory compliance. The QSMA position is a full-time position. The individual will support hardware development programs and transition into production, operations, and sustainment. The QSMA role is primarily responsible for:
- Plan, establish, and oversee a comprehensive QSMA program in accordance with SAE AS9100D and MDA directives to include MAP, PMAP, & SRAM compliance.
- Ensure all contractor and supplier operations, processes, and documentation are audit-ready for Government surveillance, reviews, and inspections.
- Implement and maintain a robust Quality Assurance program, including:
• Independent QA organization and internal/external audit functions.
• QA oversight of hardware, software, documentation, and data deliverables.
• Collection and reporting of quality metrics and performance indicators.
• Defect tracking, corrective action planning, and quality inspections.
• Lessons learned documentation and integration into program execution.
• 7-day advance notification to Government of quality meetings/inspections.
• Presentation of QA activities/status at Technical Management Reviews (TMRs).
Experience Requirements:- Bachelors degree or above;
- 3-10 years of experience in Quality or Mission Assurance within the aerospace/defense sector.
- Working knowledge of AS9100D, MIL-STD-882E, and environmental compliance laws.
- Experience supporting DoD or MDA programs, including working with CDRLs, audits, MAP, PMAP, SRAM and technical evaluations.
- Familiarity with hazard tracking systems, safety verification testing, and configuration management practices. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills;
Clearance- Candidate must have an active SECRET security clearance;
