Job Title: QA Manager (Quality Assurance Manager) Job Summary The QA Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process, ensuring that products or services meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves managing QA teams, defining testing strategies, and driving continuous improvement across processes.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluation
- Define and implement QA strategies, standards, and procedures
- Oversee manual and automated testing processes
- Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Monitor defects, track bugs, and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Drive process improvements and promote a quality-first culture
- Report on QA metrics, KPIs, and overall product quality to stakeholders
- Manage test environments, tools, and resources effectively
Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6-10+ years of experience in QA/testing, with 2-5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (manual & automation)
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with performance and security testing
- Certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
