Job Summary
The Python (FastAPI) Developer will lead the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable, distributed e-commerce systems. The role involves building high-volume, low-latency applications using Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, and GraphQL, while implementing event-driven architectures, caching strategies, content delivery networks (CDNs), and serverless solutions. The developer will drive CI/CD practices, DevOps standards, and code governance while collaborating with architecture, product, and business stakeholders. The role also includes mentoring engineers and influencing technical strategy across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable, distributed e-commerce systems.
• Develop and optimize backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Work with TypeScript and GraphQL to build and integrate modern application components.
• Design and implement high-volume, low-latency systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Lead the implementation of event-driven architectures, caching strategies, CDNs, and serverless solutions.
• Design and support distributed systems across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline development, DevOps best practices, and code governance.
• Support containerized application development and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with architecture, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
Required Qualifications
• Strong experience developing backend applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Experience building high-volume, low-latency systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems design and scalable application architecture.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL in modern application development.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, caching, CDNs, and serverless technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Docker, Kubernetes, and code governance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and mentor engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, or commercetools.
• Experience leading technical architecture and strategy while remaining hands-on with development.
• Experience optimizing distributed e-commerce systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.
