The Psychologist must provide mental health services that are consistent with their professional training and experience while meeting the expectations of the facility.
Additional DetailsWellpath is looking to hire a full-time Psychologist at Rockland County Correctional Facility (Jail). We are looking for preferred hours of Monday-Friday from 12:30 pm - 8:30 pm, but we are open to days 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with two late days (10a-6p, 11a-7p, or 12p-8p).
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
- Doctorate in psychology and experience with mental health delivery systems
Experience
- Significant professional experience in the mental field that indicates knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments
Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed to practice psychology in the State of employment by the appropriate state licensing agency
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and consultation services consistent with professional standards and institutional policies and procedures.
- Conduct direct clinical services including diagnosis, treatment, psychological testing, and crisis intervention.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards of care and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Develop and implement goals and objectives for clinical services and assist in staff recruitment and selection.
- Notify appropriate personnel of serious incidents and provide professional education and staff development as needed.
