Position Summary / Career Interest:
Psychologist - Sports Psychologist

The Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Kansas Health System is seeking applicants for a Sports Psychologist (50% Sports Medicine Clinic/50% Kansas Team Health).

About the Position:

  • Provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation, and triage to outpatients within the Orthopedics Sports Medicine clinic and Kansas Team Health.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team-based care within the Sports Medicine Clinic and Kansas Team Health.
  • Participate in the professional education of psychology interns and fellow in our APA accredited programs, as well as psychology practicum students, and medical fellows, residents, and students.
  • Collaborate with other faculty in scholarly activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited doctoral program (with an APA approved clinical internship).
  • One-year relevant post-doctoral experience in sports psychology.
  • Must be fully licensed or licensable in the State of Kansas (primary) and Missouri (PSYPACT is also helpful but not required) by the time of the appointment.
