Position Description
We are seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services to youth at a healthcare facility in Waco, Texas. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for evaluating patients, diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders, conducting psychiatric assessments, and maintaining timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
This opportunity is suited for a psychiatric professional who enjoys collaborative care, can work independently, and is committed to delivering quality behavioral healthcare.
Remote providers must be available to attend their first day in person.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnose psychiatric disorders.
- Develop and provide appropriate treatment for psychiatric conditions.
- Evaluate and document the clinical justification for medication use.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of clinical encounters in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care.
- Communicate clinical information clearly and effectively.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Complete all required facility training and documentation.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health records.
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to complete all required facility training.

- Services may be provided on-site or remotely through telepsychiatry.

- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
