Duties Description Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrists for their inpatient team located in Syracuse, NY.
As a Psychiatrist at HPC, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered, and recovery- focused treatments to individuals with mental health symptoms 18 years of age or older; including:
• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments
• Creating treatment plans including medication management
• Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed
• Providing individual and group psychotherapy
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (HELPS) program if they have a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and have certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
OR
Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
