Key Responsibilities:
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychotropic medication management to patients in long-term care facilities. This includes:
• Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Offering psychotropic medication management, including prescribing and monitoring medications.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
• Maintaining accurate medical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
• Participating in clinical research initiatives when applicable.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent)
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in specified location
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices and occupational health principles is a plus
