Job Summary and QualificationsAre you looking for highly visible operations role where you will help shape how provider scheduling is delivered across our urgent care markets. As the Provider Scheduling Manager, you will lead centralized scheduling operations, partner with market and provider leadership, and use workforce insights to align provider coverage with patient demand.
In this role you will:
- Lead and develop a centralized team of schedulers supporting providers and urgent care practices across multiple markets.
- Oversee provider schedules and staffing model, aligning coverage with patient volumes and operational needs across the organization.
- Monitor staffing needs in real time and partner with market and medical leadership to adjust provider coverage as demand changes.
- Build and standardize scheduling processes that create consistency, improve efficiency, and support scalable operations across urgent care markets.
- Partner with Provider Recruitment, medical leadership, Provider Relations, and market leaders to anticipate staffing needs and address coverage challenges.
- Oversee scheduling requests, including PTO and CME, while helping ensure provider coverage is allocated effectively and equitably across markets.
- Optimize scheduling data, workforce trends, and performance reporting to identify opportunities and provide actionable insights to operational leaders.
- Collaborate with Telehealth leadership to optimize provider resources, flex coverage based on demand, and support cross-state staffing strategies.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying scheduling challenges, developing solutions, and advancing processes that improve the provider and operational experience.
You Should Have:
- You have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
- You bring at least 5 years of healthcare operations, workforce management, centralized scheduling, staffing, provider scheduling, or comparable experience.
- You have experience leading complex operations, teams, or multi-site initiatives in a healthcare environment.
- You demonstrate the ability to translate workforce data and operational needs into effective staffing and scheduling decisions.
- You are skilled at building collaborative relationships with providers, operational leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- You have strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using data, reporting, and technology to improve operational performance.
Work Location:
This is a remote opportunity, with candidates required to reside in a market where HCA Healthcare maintains an operational presence. The position requires approximately 5-10% travel to support business and operational needs.
