Job Description
ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
The Signals Analyst Level 2 / Level 3 (SA2 / SA3) provides specialized technical expertise focusing heavily on PROFORMA and Protocol Analysis. This role involves evaluating signal characteristics to deconstruct underlying signal structures, define technical parameters, and model signal behavior across complex Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) operational technology (OT) environments. The ideal candidate combines strong networking and protocol analysis skills with hands-on RF signal analysis experience, translating physical and network layer signal discoveries into actionable intelligence and operational capabilities for USCC cyber missions.
The annual base salary range for this role is $194,000-$230,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills
PROFORMA & Signal Behavior Modeling: Analyze complex signal characteristics to deconstruct signal structures, define parameter sets, and model signal behavior across non-standard data streams and telemetry.
Protocol & Network Analysis: Perform deep-dive protocol analysis across network layers, specializing in industrial automation networks, ICS/SCADA protocols, and enterprise/OT communication paths.
RF Signal Analysis: Evaluate Radio Frequency (RF) signals, analyzing modulation schemes, transmission parameters, and physical-layer attributes to support signal collection, identification, and mapping.
ICS/SCADA Operational Support: Conduct technical signals analysis on critical infrastructure control systems, mapping operational pathways, telemetry flows, and command structures to support USCC target development.
Multi-INT Integration & Reporting: Integrate signal insights with broader intelligence disciplines, producing technical characterization profiles, signal documentation, and analytical briefings for joint cyber operational teams.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 11+ years of professional experience in data science, NLP, or software engineering OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 15+ years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills
Demonstrated experience in one or more specialized SIGINT disciplines: COMINT, ELINT, or FISINT.
Familiarity with industrial control network protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5, BACnet, PROFINET).
Experience utilizing Software Defined Radios (SDR), custom protocol decoders, or advanced signal processing platforms.
