Role Scope- Build the capability. Build Fluidstack's protective intelligence and investigations capability from the ground up; set analytic standards, quality expectations, and case management discipline that hold as the program scales with the company's footprint across multiple continents, with room to grow it into a team.
- Own the program. Own the end-to-end protective intelligence program: threat intake and triage, monitoring, open-source research, case management, reporting, and dissemination to executives, security leadership, and operational teams.
- Mature investigations. Build and mature investigative capabilities by partnering with HR, insider threat, and cybersecurity to implement risk-based background processes and continuous monitoring aligned with Fluidstack's scaling pace.
- Assess threats. Conduct threat assessments and investigations on potentially threatening communications, indicators from open sources, and commercial databases; apply structured analytic techniques to prioritize risks and recommend actions.
- Run lean. Establish a lean investigative framework that leverages other departments and tools across the security organization and the wider enterprise.
- Embed intelligence in operations. Integrate protective intelligence into company processes: hiring and onboarding decisions, visitor and vendor management, executive travel, events, and crisis response, so operations move at full speed without security gaps.
What We're Looking ForThe below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.- You've built and scaled a protective intelligence program or investigations function from early stage, setting the standards and processes that held as the organization grew.
- You conduct open-source research and threat assessment with rigor: you know how to find signal in noise across social media, commercial databases, and public records, and you know what doesn't constitute a real threat.
- You've worked in high-threat or high-visibility environments where the stakes on accuracy and judgment were real. You understand when to escalate and when to de-escalate, and stakeholders trust your assessment.
- You write and brief clearly enough to give a CEO or a security leadership team a decision and a next step from complex, ambiguous information.
- You partner effectively across functions. You've worked with Legal, HR, Compliance, and Law Enforcement on overlapping concerns without losing sight of what protective intelligence uniquely answers.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
