RGP is looking to hire a Property Tax Manager. This person would be responsible for leading all aspects of property tax compliance, research, and credit/incentive management for a rapidly expanding global organization. This role oversees the accurate and timely filing of property tax returns, ensures adherence to state and local regulations, and manages assessments, appeals, and audit activities. You will conduct complex tax research to support strategic business decisions and identify opportunities to reduce the company's tax burden through available credits, abatements, and incentive programs. A key component of this role is strong systems aptitude, including hands-on experience with PTMS, OneSource Property Tax, or other enterprise-level property tax management systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance, Real Estate, Legal, and Operations to support growth initiatives. This role plays a key part in minimizing tax risk, optimizing savings, and maintaining full compliance across a multi-state footprint.
Pay Range: $75-80/ hour
What You Will Work On
- Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of all real and personal property tax returns.
- Conduct detailed research on property tax laws, emerging regulations, and complex valuation topics.
- Identify and secure applicable tax credits, abatements, and incentive opportunities for new and existing projects.
- Monitor assessments, manage appeal strategies, and coordinate with external advisors as needed.
- Maintain relationships with taxing authorities and ensure timely responses to notices, audits, and inquiries.
- Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and accrual processes related to property taxes.
- Drive continuous process improvement and support scalable systems for a growing portfolio.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in property tax, often within consulting, corporate, or legal environments.
- Skills: Proficiency in tax software (PTMS, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Credentials: CMI (Certified Member of the Institute) designation, CPA, or JD is often preferred.
