A growing property management company is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of 3 Class A residential buildings totaling approximately 700 units in Brooklyn. This is a high-level role for a strong leader who can oversee day-to-day operations, manage third-party staffing and leasing teams, work closely with ownership, and ensure a high level of service for residents.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, hands-on, and confident in handling issues as they arise. They should be comfortable dealing directly with ownership, tenants, vendors, and building staff while maintaining a strong focus on resident satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of 3 Class A residential buildings totaling approximately 700 units
• Manage and provide leadership to third-party staffing, leasing, and building teams
• Serve as a key point of contact for ownership and maintain frequent, consistent communication
• Ensure buildings are operating efficiently and that issues are addressed quickly and proactively
• Handle tenant concerns, complaints, and escalations with professionalism and strong judgment
• Build positive relationships with residents and focus on tenant satisfaction and retention
• Monitor leasing activity, occupancy, renewals, and overall resident experience
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, supers, maintenance, and other service providers
• Identify potential issues before they become larger problems and take proactive action
• Maintain strong organization and follow-through across multiple properties
• Provide ownership with regular updates on property operations, issues, leasing, and staffing
• Hold third-party teams accountable to company and ownership expectations
• Ensure a high level of service and presentation across all properties
Requirements
• Significant experience managing large residential properties or portfolios
• Experience with Class A/luxury residential buildings strongly preferred
• Proven leadership experience overseeing staff and third-party teams
• Strong tenant relations and conflict-resolution skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with ownership
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of issues
• Strong understanding of leasing, building operations, and resident retention
• Professional demeanor with the ability to work with tenants, ownership, vendors, and staff at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple buildings and priorities in a fast-paced environment
