Job DescriptionWhy This Role MattersThe Project Pursuit Manager serves as the strategic connector between people, process, and opportunity. By aligning estimating, scheduling, proposal development, operations, partners, and designers, this role plays a critical part in maximizing pursuit success and helping Amico secure and deliver transformative infrastructure projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing teams together, developing winning strategies, and driving complex pursuits from concept to contract award.

ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of major pursuits, including:
- Managing the overall pursuit process from opportunity assessment through to final submission and client presentations.
- Serving as the primary coordinator between estimating, scheduling, operations, engineering, proposal development, and executive leadership teams.
- Leading pursuits where Amico is acting as the prime contractor, part of a joint venture, or in collaboration with external design consultants and strategic partners.
- Facilitating pursuit planning sessions, win strategy workshops, risk reviews, and coordination meetings to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining pursuit schedules, responsibility matrices, action logs, and milestone plans to ensure successful execution.
- Working closely with estimating teams to coordinate pricing strategies, commercial approaches, and key differentiators.
- Collaborating with schedulers to develop construction methodologies, phasing plans, schedule narratives, and project delivery strategies that strengthen the overall submission.
- Coordinating the integration of technical, commercial, operational, and design inputs into a cohesive and compelling pursuit strategy.
- Supporting the development of proposal content, executive summaries, interview materials, technical submissions, and presentation strategies.
- Identifying pursuit risks, opportunities, and gaps while proactively driving solutions to maintain progress and competitiveness.
- Managing collaboration with external partners, joint venture organizations, designers, consultants, and subject matter experts throughout the pursuit process.
- Ensuring all submission requirements are met through rigorous compliance reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Monitoring pursuit performance metrics and providing regular updates to leadership regarding progress, risks, and critical decisions.
- Supporting post-submission activities, including interviews, clarifications, presentations, client debriefs, and lessons-learned initiatives.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of pursuit management processes, tools, templates, and best practices across the organization.
- Support or lead technical narrative development
- Support ongoing project with any technical or pursuit requirements
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
In addition to leading or assisting individual pursuits, you will help foster a culture of collaboration and excellence by mentoring team members and strengthening the organization's overall pursuit capabilities.
Qualifications- Completed post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience leading major pursuits, proposals, estimating coordination, project strategy, or business development activities within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including RFQs, RFPs, progressive delivery models, design-build, CM, alliance, and joint venture pursuits.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across estimating, scheduling, operations, engineering, and proposal functions.
- Proven ability to develop and execute pursuit strategies that align technical, commercial, and operational objectives.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, project delivery methodologies, risk management, and scheduling principles.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits and competing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with proposal, scheduling (ex. P6), estimating, engineering (ex. BlueBeam Revu) and project management tools.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience working with joint venture partners, design consultants, and external stakeholders on large-scale infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
