Overview

LMI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Operations Specialist to join our USPS team. The ideal candidate will support the USPS Manager of Product Prep and Payment by overseeing cross-functional communications, supporting business and IT requirements development, managing stakeholder engagement, providing project management expertise, coordinating industry activities with the Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC), and delivering strategic operational solutions. This role requires a creative and strategic self-starter with excellent project management, communication, and critical thinking skills.

 

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Manager of Product Prep and Payment with schedule creation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
  • Supporting the development, review, and prioritization of Business Needs Statements (BNS) for new feature development and implementation by IT.  
  • Liaising between Product Prep and Payment teams and IT to support clear, timely communication and resolution of outstanding action items. 
  • Supporting communication and coordination between Business and Customers, including industry outreach and stakeholder updates.  
  • Developing impactful visualizations and presentations to communicate key insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.  
  • Aggregating data and distilling it into concise reporting materials that support decision-making efforts for Product Prep and Payment projects.  
  • Leveraging Agile best practices to manage requirements identification, development, and review in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.  
  • Analyzing current business processes related to Product Prep and Payment to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.  
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of  8-10 years of experience in one (or multiple) practices: technical project management; project scheduling; business process improvement; business consulting; continuous improvement
  • Consultancy experience with large, complex projects
  • Must demonstrate soft skills such as: relationship building; influencing others; emotional intelligence; and exemplary communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft products: Power Apps, Power BI, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
  • Successful performance operating within an autonomous and collaborative virtual environment
  • Ability to thrive in multiple ambiguous environments; take initiative to exceed client expectations.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations
  • Significant understanding of project management fundamentals and ability to work within project constraints
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance – US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder); if Green Card holder, must have resided in the US for the last 5 years and must not have traveled outside of the US for a combined total of 6 months during that time

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in federal government or federal government consulting.
  • Strong Working knowledge of:
    • ServiceNow
    • SalesForce
    • MS Power Suite
    • Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience with/certification in: SAFe; ProSci; LeanSixSigma; CPBA; or LUMA Human Centered Design
  • Experience with project management software, dashboards, and automated agile tools
  • Project Management consulting experience

Target salary range: $120,000-$140,000
