Job Details

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the day to day execution of projects and their scope. PM's ensure that their projects are meeting both schedule and project profitability goals while exceeding clients expectations. PM's effectively act as an advocate for clients.

What will you do?

  • Manage day-to-day operations of a project or projects & their scope.
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Review all deliverables prepared by team before client submission.
  • Develop cost-effective plans & schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization.
  • Select and coordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
  • Responsible for execution of trade work.
  • Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to create risk.
  • Ensure the project meets its schedule and project profitability goals.
  • Manage the budget and make monthly financial forecasts.
  • Client advocates that reports on client progress.

Your Experience

  • Four-year college degree required in construction management, architectural engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent.
  • 6 + years of experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with the following software is preferred; Microsoft Project (P6), Excel, Bluebeam/Adobe, TimberScan and Timberline.

Range of base pay is $130,000-$170,000.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent typically works in a construction environment where duties will be performed indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this Job, the incumbent is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines; reach and bend with arms and hands; use eyes to see close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
