Position Description

Total Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values collaboration, and is passionate about delivering high-quality results safely, on time, and within budget.

As a Project Manager at Total Mechanical, you will oversee all aspects of assigned projects while building strong relationships with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. You'll also mentor developing talent and help drive operational excellence using LEAN principles and innovative project management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage mechanical construction projects from kickoff to completion
  • Develop and oversee project budgets, billing schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
  • Coordinate preconstruction meetings, job walks, and commissioning support
  • Review owner contracts and generate subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Negotiate with general contractors, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Lead and mentor Project Engineers and assigned project staff
  • Support BIM coordination activities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, labor relations, and insurance requirements
  • Maintain strong client relationships that support repeat and future business opportunities
  • Resolve conflicts and navigate complex project situations with professionalism and sound judgment


Position Requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related-field and 5+ years of construction experience
  • OR
  • 7-10+ years of experience in mechanical construction
