Job Title: Project Manager

Salary Range: $110,000-$140,000

About this Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through completion. Working closely with Superintendents, Project Coordinators, Estimating, Finance, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and senior leadership, the Project Manager ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will bring strong construction knowledge, financial and project management skills, and the ability to build effective relationships while proactively identifying and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Delivery
  • Review estimates, contracts, specifications, and scopes of work. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, consultants, suppliers, materials, permits, and procurement requirements to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Oversee RFIs, shop drawings, changes, instructions, submittals, and other project documentation, ensuring information is communicated to all affected parties.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve schedule, quality, construction, and safety issues.

Financial & Contract Management
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, purchase orders, invoices, timesheets, and progress payments, working closely with the Finance and Estimating teams.
  • Manage subcontractor and trade contracts, including changes, instructions, and other contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and communicate regular financial updates, identifying cost concerns, risks, and variances and taking action as required.

Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, schedule, costs, and key issues.
  • Chair project meetings and coordinate communication and follow-up between the site team, Estimating, Finance, Administration, and senior management.
  • Manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure project requirements are consistently understood and delivered.

Team Leadership
  • Lead and support the project team, working closely with the Superintendent and Project Coordinator to achieve project objectives, timelines, safety, and quality standards.
  • Mentor and provide ongoing guidance and feedback to Project Coordinators and other project team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-focused environment while proactively addressing challenges throughout the project.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Education and Experience Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree, B.A.Sc. (Civil Engineering) or Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma.
  • Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience, with 5-8 years in a Project Manager role managing similar projects. ICI experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, contract administration, and project financial management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, with working knowledge of construction law, building codes, and health and safety requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.


Physical/Sensory Effort and Work Environment
  • Construction environment can be difficult conditions, this role will require working outdoors and indoors.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines.

The salary range shown reflects expected total annual compensation, including base pay, bonuses, and/or commissions.
