ARCO/Murray is currently looking for a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the construction process to join our Tenant Solutions team in our Fort Lauderdale office. This individual will be managing a wide variety of interior projects from tenant improvements and adaptive reuse to build-to-suit opportunities and full conversions of spaces in the Industrial, Entertainment and Commerical sectors. Additionally, this role has the unique opportunity to help grow the business in the South Florida market and have a voice in strategy and client relations at a high level. A Day in the Life: 30 Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout 30 Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget 30 Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees 30 Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors 30 Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule 30 Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan 30 Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues 30 Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results. 30 Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports 30 Most importantly...find a way to make the construction process fun for your clients, subcontractors, and vendors without sacrificing on quality or safety!
