A Snapshot of Your Day Being part of the Grid Automation team, you will execute projects in the areas of automation and protection for High Voltage Substations. As Project Manager you are responsible for the delivery of automation and protection projects within the project targets to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
Together with a team of technical experts, you implement state-of-the art technologies in the projects. Beyond this you drive the future of digital substations and develop technical solutions, comment on customer specifications and engineering standards, check and ensure compliance.
How You'll Make an Impact - Full responsibility for the management of projects within the area of protection, control, and HMI in HV projects.
- Oversee the project budget and resource allocation, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints.
- Assurance of the project delivery within timeline, budget, and high quality
- Risk, Opportunity and Claim Management
- Supporting of proposal management in the offering phase
- Track project progress and performance, including changes and claims, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain project management documents, including schedules, reports, etc.
- Ensure that the project meets the required quality standards and deliverables are completed following project requirements and best practices.
What You Bring- University degree in electrical, electronic engineering, automation or similar with 5+ years of project management experience in protection and control systems for HV/MV substations. Recognized project management certifications (e.g. IPMA, PM[redacted], PMP, PMI, etc.) are a plus.
- Stakeholder management, adaptability, problem-solving, attention to detail, reporting and leadership to governance are essential for this role.
- Preferable Know-How in automation and protection systems for HV-substation
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Microsoft Project and Visio as well as cloud storage and collaboration tools (i.e. Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
- Willing to travel up to 20% domestically to suppliers and customers for site activities such as FAT, as needed
- Currently live or willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC or Orlando FL (relocation assistance may be provided).
