Job Description

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Project Manager/ Pre-Construction Manager for a large seismic retro-fit project in Los Angeles.

The PMII will play a pivotal role in the development and planning phases of a major seismic retrofit project for a high-rise building. This position involves coordinating site due diligence, CMAR procurement, and construction readiness, ensuring the construction phase is set up for success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-construction Management: Assist in the preparation and management of pre-construction documents and permitting activities.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with A/E and CMAR teams for constructability reviews, cost modeling, and environmental documentation.
  • Move Management: Lead planning efforts for move management, overseeing site logistics, utilities, and FF&E planning.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor testing activities and ensure QA/QC compliance during pre-construction.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.


Qualifications
  • 3 plus years of Public Sector Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in owner's rep project/construction management.
  • Experience with $100M+ projects including steel high-rises and occupied renovations.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material abatement, CMAR, DB, and JOC delivery.

Preferred:
  • California PE, Architect license, or CCM certification.
  • DBIA Certified.


Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $150k-$180k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
