  • Monitor project costs and production, providing updates to management
  • Facilitate meetings with owners and engineers to discuss project specifics

PROJECT MANAGER - Pipeline Construction

State Utility Contractors, Inc. - Monroe, NC

We're seeking a driven Pipeline Project Manager who wants toadvance their career, gaining hands-on experience across all disciplines ofpipeline construction and estimating fundamentals. You will join a highlyrespected pipeline division that boasts 90+ years of collective expertise,working side-by-side with our team who will mentor your development.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll be involved in the full projectmanagement lifecycle from learning the fundamentals of bidding/pricing work,preconstruction, project construction, and final completion/project turn overto owner.

You will:

  • Work with our estimating team to develop fundamentals forbidding pipeline projects. This willinclude quantity takeoffs, develop pricing, communicating with subcontractorsand suppliers to receive project quotes, and assemble detailed estimates forpipelines and pump stations
  • Develop project strategy, preconstruction planning, andscheduling efforts
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to developpurchase orders and subcontracts for the project
  • Complete all project specific submittal requirements fromreceipt from suppliers/subcontractors to final owner approval
  • Coordinate and communicate with the project Superintendentto ensure all manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, are ready andavailable when needed to meet project schedule
  • Continuously monitor project cost (labor, material,subcontracts, equipment) and track production, provide feedback to managementteam, update schedules
  • Communicate with other team members to remove any obstaclesthat arise during construction
  • Ability to conduct meetings with owners and engineers anddiscuss project specifics.
  • Grow into leading complete projects, ultimately takingownership of full project from preconstruction to project completion

What You Bring
