Position Overview:

Ready to make an impact on the future of rail transportation? Siemens Mobility is seeking an experienced Overhaul Project Manager to join our Customer Services team in Lexington, NC. In this high-visibility role, you will lead complex Rolling Stock Overhaul Programs from planning through execution, ensuring critical maintenance and modernization activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, logistics, quality, and customer stakeholders, you will drive program performance, optimize overhaul processes, and help maximize fleet reliability and availability.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead the Rolling Stock overhaul program in alignment with the maintenance regime to ensure fleet work is delivered on schedule, within budget, and in support of service targets.
  • Develop and maintain required overhaul documentation to provide clear project structure, execution guidance, and contractual support throughout the program.
  • Coordinate facility readiness, fleet availability, staffing, and customer alignment to ensure the Lexington maintenance facility can execute overhaul activities efficiently and on time.
  • Partner with material logistics, customers, and internal teams to ensure parts, resources, and processes are in place to support uninterrupted maintenance and overhaul operations.
  • Monitor work progress, financial performance, risks, configuration management, continuous improvement opportunities, and quality plan execution to drive program performance and compliance.

To thrive in this role, you have:
  • Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and Siemens-relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience supporting or leading negotiations for major contracts, including working with suppliers and commercially sensitive issues; engineering or rail sector experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of rolling stock or comparable industry maintenance techniques, processes, procedures, and related planning or maintenance management systems such as SAP or Maximo.
  • Knowledge of Lean Management and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while supporting customer availability targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 25%.

The pay range for this position is $91,086.00 - $123,318.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
