Full Job Description
Primary Function

The Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the successful execution of projects within our offshore division. This position is responsible for managing projects from initial quotation through completion, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, technical specifications, and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, along with the proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned projects from initial quotation through completion, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, technical specifications, and budget
  • Plan and execute project activities in a manner that aligns with the scale and scope of work, ensuring efficiency, flexibility, and optimal resource utilization
  • Develop installation engineering deliverables, including technical plans, procedures, and methodologies for diving, pipeline, and construction projects
  • Maintain and update project schedules and milestones, ensuring accurate reflection of progress and reliable forecasting of remaining work
  • Manage and coordinate vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of project requirements
  • Review supplier quotations by evaluating cost standards, technical specifications, and inputs from engineering, quality, manufacturing, and design teams
  • Monitor daily production quantities and support cost tracking and performance analysis
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and procedures, and resolve engineering discrepancies to ensure proper implementation and alignment with project requirements
  • Oversee project execution, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring onshore and offshore field activities, to ensure safe and efficient compliance with the scope of work, project specifications, schedules, and subcontract terms and conditions
  • Ensure adherence to applicable engineering standards, regulatory codes, safety requirements, and company procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and with onshore and offshore construction management to manage interfaces and support overall project delivery
  • Manage project changes in accordance with the Management of Change (MOC) Process
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical project documentation
  • Provide regular project status updates to clients and stakeholders, including progress reporting and issue resolution, and compile weekly project reports covering statistics, cost tracking, accounting data, schedules, and supporting tables and graphs
  • Take accountability for achieving project objectives, including safety, cost, schedule, scope, quality, and timely delivery
  • Provide support to field personnel as needed to ensure efficient coordination and successful project execution


Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and/or a business-related field, or equivalent, relevant experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a project management-related role or as a Project Coordinator, preferably in the offshore, marine, or pipeline construction industry
  • Commercial diving project experience preferred; where such experience is not held, competent company commercial diving personnel will be assigned to assist with project procedures and applicable industry standards and regulations

Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to groups and negotiate effectively
  • Project experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project, and the ability to learn MORRISON-specific software applications
  • Self-motivated, with the interpersonal skills to maintain effective and ethical working relationships with vendors, customers, strategic industry partners, and MORRISON Business Unit Managers
  • Ability to operate under pressure, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines independently


Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based; prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, and the ability to communicate clearly by phone, email, radio, and in person
  • Regular visits to fabrication yards, docks, vessels, and project worksites, requiring the ability to walk uneven surfaces, climb stairs and ladders, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to life and/or move up to 25 pounds occassionally
  • Offshore visits may require passing a physical examination, completing water survival and helicopter underwater egress training (HUET), and transferring to and from vessels or platforms
  • Travel to client offices and project sites, including periodic offshore assignments


Key Performance Indicators
  • Projects delivered on or ahead of baseline schedule and key milestones
  • Cost performance measured as variance between budgeted and actual project cost, including margin retention
  • Safety performance on assigned projects, including recordable incidents, near-miss reporting, and compliance with HSE procedures
  • Quality performance, including rework, punch list items, and nonconformance reports
  • Change orders identified, documented, and approved through the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Accuracy and timeliness of weekly project reporting, cost tracking, and project documentation
  • Client satisfaction and repeat business on assigned projects
