Oberg Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to lead customer manufacturing programs from kickoff through successful delivery. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with project management experience in precision machining, manufacturing, aerospace, medical, defense, or other highly regulated industries.

How You'll Make a Difference
As the primary point of contact for assigned customer programs, you will oversee project execution while ensuring customer expectations, quality requirements, schedules, and budgets are achieved.

How You'll Keep Projects Moving:
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Engineering, Machining, Quality, Assembly, Supply Chain, and Shipping to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, providing regular updates and proactively managing expectations.
  • Coordinate all phases of manufacturing programs including New Product Introduction (NPI), prototype development, production launch, and ongoing manufacturing support.
  • Track and report project performance metrics including schedule adherence, quality performance, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
  • Facilitate customer meetings, project kickoffs, design reviews, and production readiness reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with quoting and estimating activities by providing lead time, capacity, and resource planning input.


What You'll Bring to the Team
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing complex manufacturing projects with technical requirements and tight tolerances.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience within precision machining, aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of NPI, prototype development, and production launch processes.

Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an office environment but requires regular interaction with manufacturing operations and customer facilities. Travel, including domestic and international travel, is required.
