Description

MWA Architects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing San Francisco infrastructure design studio. Our collaborative team designs sustainable, resilient, and beautiful facilities for the water, power, public works, and transportation sectors. We are looking for an organized, proactive leader who enjoys managing complex projects, building strong client relationships, and guiding multidisciplinary teams from planning through construction.

Your responsibilities:
  • Lead small- to medium-sized architectural projects through all phases of design and construction, managing project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships through regular communication, meetings, and project documentation.
  • Direct and support Project Architects, Designers, and multi-disciplinary consultant teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality design deliverables.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, labor utilization, invoicing, and additional services.
  • Create clean, attractive, high-quality architectural designs appropriate for public clients.

Requirements:
  • At least eight years of experience within a small to medium-sized firm/studio environment with experience managing technical project types, such as industrial, civic, commercial, administration, operations, laboratory, maintenance, public works, or transportation facilities
  • Licensed architectural status with experience with California building codes. Oregon and/or Washington state also desirable.
  • A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Deltek, Microsoft Office, and related programs
  • LEED accreditation preferred but not required

Salary Range:

At MWA Architects, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,000 and $128,000, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, licensure, and years of experience.
