Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Project Manager for our Transportation Innovative Solutions (TIS) division. Our Project Management team leads global, cross-functional teams through the design, validation, and implementation of our products into best-in-class manufacturing processes.

The role will lead execution of automotive connector projects based in our Lincoln, Nebraska manufacturing facility.

As a Project Manager, you are comfortable leading diverse, global, cross-functional teams, working directly with customers, solving problems, and being accountable for project-level decisions and outcomes. You bring strong leadership experience from project management, product development, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, or another technical business environment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute project scopes and plans that deliver customer and business requirements for timing, financials, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Establish clear ownership, decision rights, and accountability across the project team while enabling functional owners to deliver their commitments
  • Develop and maintain an integrated project plan that aligns milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and the critical path across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, evaluate alternatives and tradeoffs, and drive mitigation or recovery plans
  • Facilitate timely project decisions and escalations by clearly communicating facts, options, recommendations, and business impacts
  • Manage project scope and changes while maintaining alignment with customer expectations and intended business value
  • Lead project readiness reviews and phase review discussions based on transparent assessment of project status, risks, gaps, and execution readiness
  • Partner with the Design Center Project Manager and other key stakeholders on product launch strategy and execution
  • Maintain effective communication and documentation among project team members, departments, customers, and leadership
  • Own project financial performance by understanding key assumptions, identifying value creation opportunities, and driving actions related to bill of materials cost, development, and industrialization investments
  • Support project execution through occasional domestic and international travel as required


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Project Management, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, product development, project management, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience managing multiple technical projects or complex cross-functional initiatives while achieving quality, timing, and financial objectives
  • Experience supporting products through development, industrialization, launch, and/or post-launch phases within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Working experience with Automotive Product Development, Quality Management Systems, or Advanced Quality Planning
  • Project management experience leading automotive product launches
  • Strong working experience with MS Project, MS Office, and workflow tools
  • Engineering or manufacturing degree or experience
  • Experience working for an Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier
  • Experience with automotive components, such as electro-mechanical devices
