Opportunity:Kem Krest is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead medium- to high-complexity projects across our organization, including customer-focused solutions and strategic internal initiatives. In this role, you will drive project execution from planning through completion while partnering with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
As a member of the PMO, you will play a critical role in advancing business objectives by managing timelines, budgets, project governance, and stakeholder communication. This position requires a collaborative leader who can influence decision-making, resolve challenges, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
Location: This is a
hybrid position requiring candidates to reside within a reasonable
commuting distance of either Brighton, MI or Elkhart, IN. Regular travel between both locations is required, and flexibility to work on-site at each location as business needs dictate is essential.
Responsibilities:- Lead the execution of medium- to high-complexity projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate project activities between internal teams and third-party vendors to drive successful implementation.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and drive timely resolution of issues impacting scope, schedule, or budget.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, securing alignment and buy-in across functional and leadership teams.
- Communicate project status through executive summaries, presentations, meeting agendas, action items, and progress reports.
- Resolve project conflicts and escalations to maintain momentum and achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced project managers within the PMO.
- Support continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and governance practices.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.
Your Contributions:- Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience considered with 9+ years of relevant project management experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience leading complex business or customer-focused initiatives.
- PMP Certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, budgets, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating external vendors to achieve project goals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Financial acumen with experience monitoring project budgets and tracking actual performance against assumptions.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, governance practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
