Our Houston, Texas office is seeking a mid-level Interior Design professional to join our interdisciplinary team.
Stantec is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in architecture and/or interior design to join our Houston, TX office. This position offers the opportunity to lead dynamic project teams across a wide range of market sectors, including Airports, Civic, Education, Health, Government, Science & Tech, Workplace/Office, Hospitality and Multi-family. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who can manage both large and small design teams, deliver technically sophisticated projects and foster strong relationships with clients. This is a client-facing and team-facing role with significant growth potential. As Project Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing the overall performance of the interior design team, sometimes in coordination with an Architecture Project Manager, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with client expectations. This person will serve as a key representative of the firm, shaping the client's experience and potentially contributing to business development efforts as needed.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships and coordinate with consultants, team members and clients.
- Serve as single point of contact with the client, managing the client's expectations and experience.
- Participate in business development opportunities for the firm including assisting in responses to RFPs, making project presentations, calling on prospects, networking, writing articles and participating in professional seminars.
- Develop project proposals, fees and Owner and Consultant agreements.
- Forecast and organize project team for design, development, production, and project document delivery and construction administration.
- Develop, monitor and maintain project work plans, schedule and add service agreements.
- Ensure budget, code and jurisdictional requirements.
- Organize client meetings and issue meeting minutes.
- Provide overall management of A/E team(s), delegating project tasks as required.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project team.
- Review invoices and monitor billing reports and accounts receivable.
- Successfully execute projects by following Stantec's and Client's protocols and procedures to meet the project goals.
- Investigate processes and technology to improve efficiency.
- Follow established standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Comply with professional ethical standards and codes.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience with multiple project types, sizes and in all phases of architectural scope of services from programming to construction administration.

- Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, Oracle experience preferred but not required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field is required.
- Licensed or pursuing Interior Design Licensure is required.
- Portfolio required.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience is preferred.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
