About the role/work:
The Project Manager will provide project leadership for a cross-functional project team of business and technical subject-matter-experts to implement the provisions of the Federal No Surprises Act.
This Act is a new law designed to protect patients from surprise medical bills. This implementation is required to deliver capabilities related to transparency in cost, improving information in a provider directory, expanding web-based tools used by patients, and more.
• Develop and manage moderately complex project plans and budgets/financial data.
• Manage conflicting priorities with other projects and matrixed team members to ensure project success.
• Prioritize and influence team members, senior leaders, and projects sponsor(s) to successfully execute on plan. Interface regularly with leadership up to the VP level.
• With leadership guidance, evaluate and solve difficult problems that impact the overall success of the assigned project (s).
• Synthesize disparate observations and data to create conclusions and make recommendations for project sponsor and/or leadership.
• Develop and communicate expectations and success measures with team and partners.
• Monitor process, progress, and results against success measures.
• Communicate both orally and in written forms (formal and informal), with project team and partners.
• Bachelor's degree or four (4) years' work experience
• Five (5) years in a project environment, or business experience
• PMP Certification (Preferred.)
• Healthcare industry knowledge/experience (Preferred.)
• Experience working in different industries; demonstrated history of natural progression with responsibilities and/or project size/complexity (Preferred.)
• Experience in LEAN and/or Six Sigma (Preferred.)
• Experience in either the healthcare or pharmacy industry (Preferred.)
• Ability to critically reason through problems.
• Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
• Ability to be agile and successfully adapt and maneuver within complex organizations.
• Successful demonstration of skills and abilities at the PM (professional practitioner) level will be considered for internal progression/promotion.
• Ability to operate a computer in a Windows environment utilizing Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
