Overview

Advanced Drainage Systems is seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in managing complex product development projects to support the Storage Category. This role oversees initiatives from planning through delivery, coordinating research and design activities, and driving strategic programs with organizational impact. The Senior Project Manager will lead large cross-functional programs, manage scope, schedules, budgets, and resources, and build strong relationships to resolve challenges. The position involves developing recommendations, supporting executive decision-making, and ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes. Success requires superior communication, project management, and organizational skills, along with representing the organization in key professional settings.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead one or more large, complex projects or programs through all stages, from scoping to execution in the market
  • Make authoritative decisions and recommendations that are conclusive and have a far-reaching impact on the organization
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive programs and activities of major consequence
  • Develop cross-functionally aligned recommendations for executive-level decision-making.
  • Lead the evaluation, prioritization, and performance of programs to align strategic priorities
  • Build extensive stakeholder relationships to drive effective escalation and remove barriers.
  • Effectively manage project schedules, scope, budget, and resources to deliver on-time, high-quality projects
  • Representing the organization at important functions or conferences, including media interviews as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to lead an entire project or program of critical importance
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior project management and organizational skills
  • Use critical thought to decide the extent of engineering and related resources needed for accomplishing objectives of assigned projects/programs
  • Thorough understanding and communication of strategic activity and programs
  • Provides recommendations for executive-level decision making
