Full Job Description
The Project Manager II - Enterprise will oversee and support energy performance and design-build construction projects. The Project Manager will be required to manage multiple subcontracting disciplines on any given project. This role is responsible for managing project execution, maintaining schedule, cost control, and supporting project development activities by obtaining pricing and scopes from trade partners ensuring high-quality communication among customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Essential Position Functions
  • Manages all phases of energy performance and design-build construction projects from award through closeout with emphasis on subcontracted work scope and performance.
  • Assists the Business Development and Engineering teams during project development by soliciting, reviewing, and leveling subcontractor pricing and proposals.
  • Prepares, maintains, and updates detailed project schedules, 3- to 6-week look-forwards, and resource plans.
  • Conducts recurring project meetings with subcontractors and customers, ensuring action items and deliverables are tracked and completed.
  • Reviews subcontractor submittals, RFIs, change order requests, and invoices for accuracy and compliance with scope and schedule.
  • Prepares and presents monthly project status reports to company management, including progress updates, budget and cost tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Maintains timely and accurate revenue and cash flow forecasts in coordination with finance and operations teams.
  • Coordinates site logistics, safety, and quality plans through subcontractor management and field visits.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, subcontractors, and design partners to ensure project goals are met.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and applicable safety and environmental regulations.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent education, or related field; or ten plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commercial construction experience required.
  • 5-8 years of project management experience in energy, mechanical/electrical, or design-build construction required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
  • Knowledge of MS Project (or equivalent schedule management software), Excel, and standard construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Monday.com, or similar).
  • Knowledge of ESCO project delivery methods, energy conservation measures, and performance contracting principles preferred.
  • Ability to manage subcontracted scopes and maintain organized project documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload.
  • Ability to communicate and build customer relationships, with experience leading recurring meetings and presentations.
  • Ability to forecast project costs and revenues accurately and track key financial performance metrics.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid driver's license required.

Travel
  • 25% travel to project sites and participate in field coordination when required.
