Hill International is seeking a Project Manager with Healthcare and Research experience in Houston, Texas

Responsibilities

  • Primary project liaison with owner's staff, manage projects from initiation through completion of construction. Facilitate timely decisions by campus representatives and report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders.
  • Manage facility user groups, operations and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input. Resolve conflicts and facilitate decisions to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage planning, design, execution of projects by providing project leadership, communication, and coordination.
  • Responsible for leading meetings with owner, architects and contractors as well as providing leadership in client relations.
  • Responsible for project budget, scheduling, and procurement of design and construction services.
  • Drive progress of consultants to achieve expected functionality; and recommend alternatives to recover negative drift.
  • Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements. Facilitate timely review of contract documents by owner's engineers and consultants at schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of the work.
  • Review and approve design, construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, guaranteed maximum price submittals, bid documents, pay applications, etc.
  • During construction, direct and/or provide support to Resident Construction Manager, Senior Construction Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, and institution staff in management of construction activities and processes.
  • Apply project control processes to track progress; for consistency; to mitigate risks; and to assure compliance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of five years' experience providing professional project management and leadership with vertical experience.
  • Healthcare and research experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on multiple healthcare projects within the construction industry is preferred.
